The Accreditation Law and IEPs - A Collegial Discussion Tuesday, April 26, from 12 – 1 PM Eastern.

Mark your calendar to join Jeff Hutcheson (ELS Language Centers) and Scott Stevens (University of Delaware) on April 26, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Eastern time, in an online discussion about Pub.L. 111-306 [link: http://www.nafsa.org/resourcelibrary/default.aspx?id=23563]. The law passed on December 14, 2010, and will require that intensive language training programs be accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education in order to be SEVIS-certified, issue Forms I-20, and enroll F-1 nonimmigrant students. How will the law affect your IEP? Will it have a different impact on campus-based and non-campus-based IEPs? Which accrediting bodies are approved? How long will your program have to get accredited if it's not already? How long will your accreditation last?
