FAQs posted regarding Accreditation LawDear Colleagues, SEVP has just issued a broadcast message on June 29, 2012, announcing the new FAQ section of the Study in the States website, which relates to English Language Program accreditation. This link contains the FAQs: http://studyinthestates.dhs.gov/accreditationact. Public comment is welcomed through July 13, 2012. Comments can be made on the Study in the States page. The FAQs include a section on university-governed IEPs and what process they need to follow to provide evidence of their accreditation during Out of Cycle Reviews and Recertification. The written FAQs clarify a great deal of the confusion that was caused by the April 2012 broadcast message. We are confident that SEVP will continue to work with IEPs and all accrediting bodies recognized by the US Department of Education to ensure that the English Language Training Program Accreditation law is appropriately interpreted and enforced.
