Description

The University of Pennsylvania, founded by Benjamin Franklin in 1740, is one of eight private universities known as the Ivy League. US News & World Report consistently ranks Penn in the top ten national universities. 23,000 students study in Penn's four undergraduate and 12 graduate and professional schools, including 4,500 international students.

The English Language Programs (ELP) offers courses and complete programs of study for a wide variety of purposes, including general English, English for business and the professions, academic preparation, and teacher training. The ELP is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation and agrees to uphold the CEA Standards for English Language Programs.
