Student lounge & kitchen, computer, listening, & reading laboratory facilities available from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM; off campus classes in Murfreesboro TN located across from Middle Tennessee State University in a newly built facility 30 miles from Nashville.

Homestay placement includes airport pickup if helpful. Housing fee is $500 per month with 14 meals per week. Recommended $100 per month for transportation if needed; wide range of homestays from traditional nuclear family to grandparents, single parents, and single professionals. Student ServicesIEI meets students in the baggage claim area of the Nashville airport and provides housing and living assistance: bank orientation, counseling, and problem solving. IEI also has an active, year-round social/cultural program with trips to Elvis Presley's home in Memphis, Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky, NASA Alabama Space Museum, Cherokee Indian Reservation, and Kentucky horse country. IEI assists in university placement and campus visits. Educational Service OpportunitiesIEI provides a 6-level, 5-skill area approach with 25 hours per week of student-teacher contact. IEI emphasizes conversation and grammar and requires a minimum of 2 hours of homework per day. Teachers provide extra work for students upon request. Faculty are MA level or above and emphasize a communicative approach. TransportationNashville has basic, but limited public transportation. Many students buy cars. Some students ride to IEI on the bus or with host families/friends.
