Teaching Qualifications

We are affiliated with the MA TESOL program at the Monterey Institute and many of our instructors come through that affiliation. All instructors either hold Master's degrees in TESOL or have MA's in progress.

Facilities

The IESL program is housed in the Kinnoull language education building, a beautiful old building in the historical section of Monterey. The first floor contains classrooms, while the second floor includes program offices and our ESL Cafe.

Students also have access to all the facilities of the Monterey Institute, including:

A library
Two computer labs
A cafeteria
Two student centers suitable for studying, socializing, eating, watching TV, and playing ping-pong
A quiet reading room
A prayer/meditation room
Recreation equipment available for checkout free of charge
