LocationThe Center is located in Oakland’s Jack London Square on the waterfront of San Francisco Bay. Jack London Square is a vibrant area offering access to restaurants, shopping, music, and water sports such as kayaking. Just 20 minutes by ferry from San Francisco, we are in an exciting area for culture, tourism and education. The San Francisco Bay Area is famous for its cosmopolitan population, world-class restaurants and shops, ample recreational opportunities, and year-round mild climate. The English Center is easily accessible by public transportation: 20 minutes from the University of California at Berkeley, 30 minutes from Mills College, and 45 minutes from Stanford University.
Teaching QualificationsInstructors have master's degrees in TESL or a related area. Some instructors have doctorates or law degrees in addition to their ESL degree training.
