English Language ProgramDescriptionUCSB Extension offers Intensive English courses, a Design Your Own program, and also Professional Diploma Programs. Intensive English programs are offered year round in 10, 6 and 4 week sessions. Students specialize in Academic English, Business English, or English for General Communication. The Design Your Own program is a bridge program which allows students to take a combination of English language and concurrent academic classes. The Professional Diploma Program offers high-caliber courses for students who want to further their education, enhance their careers, and network with people from other countries. Choose from 10-week Global Business & Management Diploma, Marketing Diploma, and Internship programs.
LocationSanta Barbara is located directly on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, 90 minutes north of Los Angeles. It is one of the safest, most beautiful, and most culturally dynamic cities in the Western U.S. The University of California, Santa Barbara is located 10 minutes north of downtown Santa Barbara and 5 minutes from the Santa Barbara Airport.

Prices listed are per day. Homestay with breakfast and dinner costs $24 and is paid directly to host after arrival. The dormitory is subject to availability and requires $300 deposit. Student ServicesProgram orientations, campus tours, and welcome activities; student activities and trip advising; conversation partners; assistance with general information and events, housing, medical issues, insurance claims, academic and immigration advising. A state-of-the art computer lab is available with internet connection; each student receives an e-mail account during the program. Educational Service OpportunitiesAdvanced students who qualify may take UCSB campus classes or Extension classes in many subject areas. Academic advising is available for students who want to attend a degree program at an American college or university. TransportationTransportation: Program staff give assistance and advice for students to arrange transportation. UCSB Extension is located 5 minutes from Santa Barbara Airport and 2 hours from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Scheduled frequent bus service (Santa Barbara Airbus)is available from LAX. Application InformationStudents must send a completed "Enrollment Form", $150 registration fee (non-refundable), and a completed application for I-20 form (for F-1 visa) including a financial statement. Students who desire pre-arranged housing must send a $120 housing placement fee, and deposits when applicable |
