TLC: Pennsylvania Language InstituteDescriptionThe Pennsylvania Language Institute provides a high quality English program to international students for professional, educational, or personal purposes. There are nine levels of intruction that starts with the beginning level and goes to the advanced level of English. We also offer the Advanced Profiency Program option that includes Business English for MBA students and executives and acadmic listening and writing skills.

University Service Fee Student ServicesAt PLI, you are given the opportunity to talk with highly qualified PLI faculty and staff about any concerns or questions that they may have dealing with anything from public transportation to academic placement services. Students are also given the opportunity to learn more about each other's cultures and American culture by going on a vast range of extracurricular activies that we offer including sports, historical sites and cultural sites of Philadelphia, Washington D.C., New York City, and of the surrounding area. All facilities at the university are open to PLI students. Airport pickup is arranged (and strongly recommeded) for new PLI students. Educational Service OpportunitiesConditional Admissions: For students who meet all other admissions requirements, Widener University's English Policy is: Conditional undergraduate admission with 500/173 TOEFL or 470/150 TOEFL plus 12 weeks of English at PLI. Conditional admissions for Masters of Engineering with 550/213 TOEFL or 530/197 TOEFL plus 12 weeks of English at PLI. Level 9 accepted for graduate or undergraduate Engineering. |
