Description

WESL Institute offers instruction in academic English for students who are preparing to enter an American college or university in two 16-week semesters (fall and spring) and an 8-week program in the summer. Students attend classes 23 hours per week, and develop skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking and build academic, social and cross-cultural skills needed for university work. Teachers average 10 years experience in ESL teaching at WESL. Macomb is a friendly, safe city which provides a positive study environment.

Location

Macomb, 20,000 population, is 373 kilometers southwest of Chicago, 243 kilometers north of St. Louis, and 68 kilometers from the Mississippi River.

Teaching Qualifications

Instructors have graduate degrees and special training in teaching ESL, with an average of 10 years' teaching experience at the WESL Institute. Many have lived and studied in other countries.
