Description

The EFL program offers courses throughout the year that include 1) a student population from over 40 countries, 2) integrated and balanced classroom instruction at all levels, 3) state-of-the art language and computer laboratories, and 4) electives for special interest in business, academics, current events, and popular culture. Advanced level courses specialize in English for Academic Purposes and English for Professional Purposes

Georgetown University, located in the U.S. capital, Washington, D.C. is the oldest Catholic university in the U.S.  It has been a center of higher education for over 200 years. Students in the EFL program study in a rich educational, historical and cultural environment.  The beautiful campus is in the heart of Washington, D.C.

  Admission to the EFL program does not constitute admission to any other program of Georgetown University, and students should not anticipate admission to the University upon completion of an EFL session.

Transportation

The Georgetown University campus is located near three major airports, Reagan National Airport, Dulles International Airport, and Baltimore-Washington Airport. Free shuttle buses connect the campus to nearby Metro stations.  Local buses provide transportation to area apartments.

Application Information

Applicants must have completed a secondary school education and be at least 17 years old. Interested students must submit an application form, an application fee of $50, an advance deposit of $200, and proof of secondary school completion.
