Description

ELS/Nasvhille is located on the beautiful campus of Belmont University. ELS brings its quality, 12-level language instruction program to Belmont's reputation for a quality education. Students have access to all Belmont facilities, including the dormitories, library, computer lab, and the newly built student center, complete with gymnasium, raquetball courts, and fitness center.

Location

ELS is located on the south side of Belmont University's campus, beside the School of Nursing. Our physical address is 1513 Compton Ave. We are within 5 minutes of downtown Nashville and within walking distance of several shops and restaurants.

Teaching Qualifications

Minumum of a BA with 6 months TESL experience. The current average years experience among instructors is over 5 years. Among our current instructors, three have Masters and one has a Doctorate.

  • A housing deposit of $200 per four-week session is required if ELS arranges housing.
  • Airport pickup is available at an additional charge.
  • Student health insurance must be purchased if proof of valid insurance coverage cannot be provided.
Notes on Fees:
Books and Belmont Student Activity fees are included in the tuition. Health Insurance is required and can only be waived with verification of an existing insurance policy. There are no charges beyond those stated above.

ELS Nashville offers student housing at Belmont University and with American Host Families.  All students, regardless of housing arrangements, have access to all Belmont facilities, including the library, computer lab, and fitness centers.  On campus students my have meals at the cafeteria, local restaurants, or cook for themselves in the
campus housing.  Students in host families have 2 meals per day provided
by the host family.

Student Services

We offer assistance to students with university placement, academic and cultural adjustment, as well as a variety of social activities in and around the Nashville area. Students may also participate in conversation partners during the Fall and Spring.

Educational Service Opportunities

Nearly 600 colleges, universities and career schools in the U.S. accept completion of the ELS Intensive English program in place of the TOEFL.  University placement services are provided, and students may earn university credit based on their ELS study upon enrolling at select partner institutions.  A listing of ELS partner schools is available www.els.edu.  Students who have completed level 107 of the ELS program may visit classes at Belmont University.

Transportation

Students may ride the Nashville Public Transportation for free, using their Belmont University identification card.  All students receive the identification card at orientation.
