We help prepare students to study in US universities or to return to schools and jobs in their home countries. We also offer Pre-Academic Orientation for students already admitted to US universities, a Teen English Program for ages 13-17, TEFL Certificates for English teachers, and special Customized programs for individuals or groups.

Location

Tucson is located in the sunny, desert, southwestern United States well-known for its warm hospitality and welcoming atmosphere. We are just hours by car from Mexico, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Hollywood, Los Angeles, San Diego, and the beaches of southern California.

Teaching Qualifications

CESL instructors are full-time faculty with MATESOL or PhDs and an average of 22 years teaching experience in intensive English in an academic environment.

Facilities

CESL is located in the heart of the University of Arizona, Arizona's First University, where CESL students have full access to all university facilities including libraries, Computing Commons, Campus Health, and Campus Recreation Centers. The CESL building has a student lounge for lunch and activities as well as two state-of-the-art computer labs with Internet access.

Student Services

CESL provides a student advisor, immigration advising and many activities for students in the CESL building, on campus and locally, including clubs and school visits. Advanced level students may also visit regularly scheduled university classes.

Educational Service Opportunities

CESL offers TOEFL preparation elective classes. The University offers GRE and GMAT preparation courses. Advanced CESL students may visit regularly scheduled university classes. UA Conditional Admission is available.

Transportation

Tucson International Airport is 15 minutes from the university. Take the door-to-door Arizona Stagecoach shuttle from the airport to the university area. Students can live within walking distance of CESL and many use bicycles. There is easy access to large shopping malls by the city bus system.
